Level One Online/Map Kit Option 

The National GPS Certification Course has a new online course that is combined with a distance education kit.   It is far easier to take the one-day certification through our network of instructors.  Our resources are in French and English. 

We recognize proximity to course offerings/instructors and timing does not always work.  Therefore the following solution has been developed based on the standards and competency test of the regular face-to-face instruction. 

If you are considering online with the distance education kit please follow the following. 

1.  You must have a compass, a GPS unit and a 1:50 000 scale topographic map of your area.  (1:24 000 in the United States). 

2. Call 1-888-747-7577, ext. 0 or  email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   .  Request the manual, CD, with GPS simulator, map kit, plotter and tests.  The cost including mailing, will be $750.00 plus applicable taxes. 

3.  You will read the manual, watch the video and utilize the map, compass and GPS simulator. 

4.  You will complete the tests and send back the maps.  One map is the one included and the second map is the 1:50 000 scale map of your area. 

A letter and certification card will then be sent to your home address.  The certification is good for three years.  There is an online recertification.
